An incident during last summer worked as the initial spark for "Spiderbite"; DJ Phoney was working on two songs and left the mic open while taking a shower for inspiration (it was darn hot outside).
A spider – hidden in a the bathrobe - bit him. The spot on his skin swell and turned red, so he called a medical emergency number and they made fun of him ("Stop on by for an amputation!") since spiders in Germany are harmless.
(Here's something extra embarrassing: he even kept the dead spider in a matchbox for half an hour – because of a possible antidote, thinking of Jeff Hanneman. haha)
Thus the vocal idea was born and instantly recorded on top of a raw psychy Funk instrumental.
The outcome sounds like The Vampires Of Dartmoore flirting with a garage Funk act plus a martial arts score and some British library music influence.
