While DJ Phoney’s “Cookies” EP – also released in 2013 - presented the man in a deep Instrumental HipHop-mood, “Demonia De La Enfermedad” took things back to where the previous single “The Rise & Fall” (which was part of the game soundtrack to “Tiny & Big”) went – suspense soundtrack and library funk to horror grooves!

A trip from the late 60s to the 70s.
As a movie imagine a 60’s french detective/cop flick, combined with early to mid 70’s Giallo and a late 70’s Zombie film.
In musical comparison, this means Jack Arel, Dennis Coffey, Goblin, Budos Band, Adrian Younge, Orgone and Uncle Acid with Fabio Frizzi or John Carpenter.

Drums and driving percussions, WahWah as it should sound and a characteristic harsh Fuzz guitar meet Moog and sound effects. For a three-minute-something track, there’s so much happening in the arrangement; it’s almost a short movie – morbidly shocking and full of energy.

Additional to the original version Larsson’s Remix adds a HipHop flavor that sounds almost like the Bomb Squad joining Adrian Younge. Still dark but with an uplifting funky snare and accentuated cuts.


Maybe one day the, yet fictional, movie “Demonia De La Enfermedad” might actually see the light of a movie theatre... who knows. Until then we will not let you know the storyline cause it might honestly scare you!
